 Dr. Ramesh B , the founder and director of Dr. Ramesh hospital and The Cambridge Laparoscopic Surgery Unit and Infertility IVF units, grew from a very rural background to become one of the most sort after Laparoscopic specialists in the country.
Beginning his formal education from an obscure
village called Santhemavathur near Tumkur,
Dr Ramesh excelled in academics right from
the word go. Securing first rank in his primary
school, he went on to pass MBBS course (in
1988) with distinction. He completed his post
graduation in Obstetrics and Gynaenacology
and added various degrees like DGO, FCPS,
FICOG, etc.
Gaining wide and varied hands-on experience while serving as a Medical Officer in rural areas between 1989 -91 and 1994-99, he won the 'Young Scientist Award' in 1998, apart from awards like Indira Priyadarshini Award, Rashtriya Rattan Award, Kempegowda Award, Best Doctor Award, Vaidhya Ratna Award, Visveswaraya Award, JagaJyothi Basaveshwara Award and the
prestigious Global Economic Council Award.
He also acts in his capacity as a visiting
surgeon to various hospitals in Karnataka,
Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh
Dr. Ramesh is one among the few specialists
in India who have performed over 10.000 laparoscopic
surgeries. He has also conducted various Laparoscopic
camps and presented many papers at various
national and international conferences and
fora. He has been the driving force behind
several state level and national level workshops
and conferences. He has trained and mentored
many a young Gynaecologist over the last decade.
